What is Bazuka Sub-Zero Freeze Verruca & Wart Removal Treatment

Bazuka Sub-Zero removes warts and verrucas. Bazuka Sub-Zero is a freezing wart and verruca removal device based on the cryotherapy method used by doctors.

Bazuka Sub-Zero starts working from the first application and works by freezing warts and verrucas to the core. Based on the cryotherapy method used by doctors, it's fast to use, and effective.

  • A home use ‘freeze’ treatment for verrucas and warts, based on cryotherapy used by doctors and healthcare professionals.
  • Freezes the verruca or wart to the core from the first treatment - for a fast to use, and effective treatment.

How does Bazuka Sub-Zero Freeze Verruca & Wart Removal Treatment work

Bazuka Sub-Zero is based on cryotherapy - a recognised 'freezing' method used by doctors and healthcare professionals. It can freeze the wart or verruca to the core in just one treatment and in most cases, after 10 days, the treated wart or verruca will fall off, revealing new skin that has formed beneath.

Bazuka Sub-Zero may be preferable for more stubborn warts and verrucas, and when a really rapid treatment is desirable. It's suitable for adults and the elderly, and for children down to the age of four. Because the sudden freezing process can be painful, Bazuka Sub-Zero is not recommended for children younger than four.

Unlike other freezing products, Bazuka Sub-Zero uses Verrukill technology, a patented double protection security system to help make sure it can be used safely. Thanks to experts at Bazuka, the freezing agent can only be discharged using the special safety cap, and users can see when the applicator is charged with the freezing agent, enabling them to localise the treatment accurately onto the wart or verruca. Some alternative freezing products do not contain the freezing agent very well and so are more prone to harmful side effects.

How to use Bazuka Sub-Zero Freeze Verruca & Wart Removal Treatment

  • Assemble device
  • Use safety cap to charge foam applicator with the freezing agent
  • Gently apply freezer to wart or verruca - only for a matter of seconds

This treatment can be painful, it is not suitable for everybody. if used on children, it must be operated by an adult

Do not use:

  • On children under 4
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding
  • If you are diabetic
  • Anywhere on or near your face, armpits, breasts, bottom or genital (sex) area
  • On birthmarks, moles, warts with hair growing from them, or any other spots
  • On skin areas that are sensitive, damaged, cut, grazed, diseased or itchy
  • At the same time as any other wart or verruca treatment

What does Bazuka Sub-Zero Freeze Verruca & Wart Removal Treatment contain

A pressurised aerosol can containing the freezing agent which is a liquid mixture of Dimethyl ether, Propane and Isobutane; 12 disposable foam applicators (sufficient for 12 freeze applications); a special safety cap/ actuator; an instruction leaflet.

    What is Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream?

Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream is a medicine which is used to treat inflamed sweat rash or Athlete’s Foot.

The cream contains the following ingredients:

    • Hydrocortisone acetate is a mild ‘topical steroid’ which reduces inflammation, swelling, redness and itching of the skin.
    • Miconazole nitrate is an antifungal which works by destroying both the fungus that causes the infection and some of the associated bacteria which may also be present.

Sweat rash (candida intertrigo, or ‘thrush’ of the skin folds) is a sore, itchy red rash found in areas where the skin rubs together, e.g. below or between the breasts, underarms, tops of legs or the groin or other skin areas.

Athlete’s Foot is a fungal skin infection causing soreness, itching and flaking between the toes or on the soles or sides of the feet.

How do you catch Athlete’s Foot?

It’s extremely infectious so anyone can pick it up, especially people sharing communal changing rooms and showers.

Once the fungal spores have been transferred onto the feet, they thrive in the warm, moist areas between the toes.

The skin soon becomes inflamed and itchy with flaking or cracking occurring. The infected flakes of skin are then shed onto the floor or into the socks and shoes by walking or friction.

Someone else will be easily infected if they step on these flakes, or if they share towels or footwear with someone who has already got Athlete’s Foot.

What is more, even if you’ve already got rid of your Athlete’s Foot, it’s very easy to re-infect yourself. The spores can live on or in your shoes or socks and if you don’t change them regularly, or treat them with antifungal powders or spray powders, the Athlete’s Foot soon returns.

    How to prevent re-infection

If you want to avoid the vicious circle of re-infection, here are a few helpful hints.

    • Spray inside your shoes and socks with fungicidal powder before putting them on.
    • Don’t wear the same pair of shoes every day. This helps reduce the build-up of sweat which provides the moisture on which the fungus thrives.
    • Avoid synthetic footwear. Choose cotton socks and leather shoes which allow your feet to breathe.
    • Avoid sharing towels or footwear.
    • Avoid walking barefoot in changing rooms.
    • Dry thoroughly between your toes and keep toenails short as this reduces the number of places fungi can grow.

How to use Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream

    • For topical use only, which means it is applied directly to the affected area of skin.
    • Do not use more than the stated dose shown in the table.

How to apply Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream

    • Wash the infected area and dry it well. As many skin conditions are contagious, you should keep a towel and flannel for your own use and not share it so that you do not infect anyone else.
    • Apply the cream onto the infected area and surrounding skin.
    • Unless the infected skin is on your hands, wash your hands carefully after applying the cream to avoid spreading the infection to other parts of the body or to other people. Similarly, clothing which comes into contact with the infected areas, such as socks, should be washed and changed frequently.
    • It is preferable to wear cotton underwear if it is likely to come into contact with the cream, as the cream may damage some synthetic materials.

Adults and children aged 10 years and over: Put a small amount of the cream on the affected area twice daily. Rub it in gently until the cream has disappeared.

What does Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream contain

The active ingredients in 1 g of Hydrocortisone Cream are: Miconazole nitrate 20 mg and Hydrocortisone acetate equivalent to 10 mg of hydrocortisone.

What is Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer?

Amorolfine 5% w/v is used to treat:

    • Fungal infections of the nails without the involvement of the nail root (nail matrix)
    • Fungal infections affecting up to 2 nails and affecting the upper half or sides of the nail (as shown in the first picture below). If the infection appears to be more like pictures 2 or 3; you should consult your doctor.
    • The active substance in Amorolfine 5% w/v is amorolfine (as the hydrochloride) which belongs to a group of medicines known as antifungals.
    • Amorolfine 5% w/v kills a wide variety of fungi that can cause nail infections. Fungal nail infection is likely to result in discoloured (white, yellow, or brown), thick or brittle nails, although their appearance can vary considerably.

How to use Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, Amorolfine 5% w/v is used as follows:

    • Treat your infected nails as described below. NAILS SHOULD BE TREATED ONCE A WEEK.
    • Once weekly application should continue for six months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails.
    • Nails grow slowly so it may take 2 or 3 months before you start to see an improvement.
    • It is vital to carry on using the nail lacquer until the infection has cleared and healthy nails have grown back.
    • The following steps should be followed carefully for each affected nail:

    Step 1: File the nail

Using a new file, gently file down the infected areas of nail, including the nail surface. Protect any healthy nails while you are doing this so that you don't spread the infection.

CAUTION: Do not use the same nail file used for infected nails and healthy nails, as this could spread the infection as well.

To prevent the spread of infection, take care that no one else uses the files from your kit.

    Step 2: Clean the nail

Use one of the swabs provided (or nail varnish remover) to clean the nail surface. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each affected nail.

    Step 3: Apply the lacquer

Dip one of the re-usable applicators into the bottle of nail lacquer. The lacquer must not be wiped off the edge of the bottle before it is applied. Apply the lacquer evenly over the entire surface of the nail. Repeat this step for each affected nail.

Let the treated nail(s) dry for approximately 10 minutes.

    Step 4: Clean the applicator

The applicators provided are re-usable. However, it is essential to clean them thoroughly after completing each treatment procedure, using the same swab you used for nail cleansing. Avoid touching newly treated nails with the swab. Close the nail lacquer bottle tightly. Dispose of the swab carefully as it is inflammable.

What does Amorolfine 5% w/v contain?

Amorolfine 5% w/v contains 50 mg/ml of the active substance amorolfine (equivalent to 55.74 mg/ml amorolfine hydrochloride).

    The recommended dose is:

Apply once daily for 3 days for wart treatment. Apply once daily for 6 days for verruca treatment.

If your symptoms carry on or do not improve after this number of applications, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist

You will need the following before you start:

    • A small amount of clean water such as tap water. Do not use saline solution or water is known to contain salt or chlorides
    • A clean non-absorbent surface such as an upturned drinking glass or steel cup
    • A paper tissue
    • Petroleum jelly

    How to apply this medicine:

    • Put a single drop of clean water on a non-absorbent surface such as an upturned drinking glass or steel cup.

    • Do not allow the water or tip to touch healthy skin, clothing, furniture or other surfaces.
    • Protect healthy skin around the area to be treated with a thin layer of petroleum jelly.
    • Use the tip to transfer the water to the surface of the area to be treated. Make sure the whole area to be treated is covered with the water. Do not rub the tip on the area or use pressure on the tip. If the tip breaks, make sure all pieces are recovered and disposed of in paper tissue.
    • Allow the treated area to dry before contact with any other surface. The treated area will be stained black after a short period of time.
    • Using a paper tissue, dry the tip of the pencil and the remains of the drop of water. Dispose of the paper tissue.
    • Over time, any surface touched by the water or wet tip may be stained black. Stains on the skin will disappear after several days.
    • After 24 hours, the black surface of the treated area should be filed away with a course nail buffer or fine emery board.
    • The remaining wart/verruca should be treated again.

What is Lamisil AT 1% Cream?

Lamisil AT 1% Cream contains the active ingredient terbinafine hydrochloride which is an antifungal used to treat fungal skin infection, such as:

    • Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) – Athlete’s foot appears only on the feet (usually both, but not always), usually in between the toes. It can also appear on the instep, soles, or other areas of the feet. The most common type of athlete’s foot causes cracking or scaling of the skin, but you may also have mild swelling, blisters, or weeping ulcers. Lamisil AT 1% Cream is recommended for athlete’s foot when it occurs between the toes. If you have a fungal nail infection (fungus inside and under the nail) with discolouration of the nails and changes in nail texture (thick or flaky), you should consult your doctor because Lamisil AT 1% Cream is not appropriate for this type of infection.
    • Dhobie itch/jock itch (tinea cruris) – Dhobie itch appears in the groin and inner thigh area, usually on both sides but often with one side more than the other, where it can spread further between the legs to the buttocks, or up towards the stomach. Dhobie itch looks like a clearly bordered rash, which may have blisters.

How to use Lamisil AT 1% Cream

Adults: For Athlete’s Foot and dhobie itch, apply the cream once a day, for one week.

    • Cleanse and dry the affected areas thoroughly and wash your hands. Treatment can be helped by keeping the affected areas clean by regular washing and careful drying with your own clean towels and clothes, and not rubbing or scratching the skin.
    • Unscrew the cap then gently squeeze out a small amount of the cream onto your finger.
    • Apply just enough cream to form a thin layer on the affected skin and surrounding areas.
    • Rub in gently. When used between the toes, buttocks or on the groin, the treated area may be covered with a light, fresh gauze strip, especially at night.
    • Replace the cap on the tube and wash your hands

Even though you will not be using Lamisil AT 1% Cream during the second week, full skin healing after the infection has cleared will continue for up to 4 weeks. If you have not noticed any signs of improvement within 2 weeks of first starting treatment, please seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

What does Lamisil AT 1% Cream contain

The active ingredient is terbinafine hydrochloride 1% w/w.

Before you start using the medicine you should keep a record of how your nail looks:

    • Shade the area affected by the infection to assess your progress.
    • If you have 2 nails affected, just do this for your worst nail.
    • Every 3 months, shade the area affected in the next diagram.
    • Do this until the infected nail has completely grown out.

This will help you remember how your nail looked so you can see your progress.

    How long to use Curanail

    • You need to use the medicine once a week until the infection has cleared and healthy nails have grown back.
    • This usually takes 6 months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails.
    • You will see a healthy nail growing as the infected nail grows out.
    • Nails grow slowly so it may take 2 or 3 months before you start to see an improvement.

After every 3 months of treatment:

    • If the infection has improved, continue the treatment.
    • If the infection is the same or worse talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

    Safe use of Curanail

    • If you get the medicine in your eyes or ears wash it out with water and talk to your doctor or pharmacist or go to the nearest hospital straight away.
    • Do not let the medicine come into contact with your mouth or nostrils (or other mucous membranes).
    • Do not inhale the medicine.
    • Do not let anyone else use the files from your kit -this will stop the spread of infection.
    • If you need to use chemicals such as paint thinners or white spirit when you have applied the medicine to your fingernails, wear rubber or other waterproof (impermeable) gloves. This will protect the medicine on your nails.

    Step 1: Prepare the nail

Using a new file, gently file down the infected areas of the nail, including the nail surface. Protect any healthy nails while you are doing this so that you don't spread the infection.

CAUTION: Do not use the same nail file for infected nails and healthy nails, as this could spread the infection as well. To prevent the spread of infection take care that no one else uses the files from your kit.

    Step 2: Clean the nail

Use one of the swabs provided to clean the nail surface. Do not throw the swab away as you will need it later to clean the applicator.

    Step 3: Treat the nail

Dip one of the re-usable applicators into the bottle of nail lacquer. The lacquer must not be wiped off on the edge of the bottle before it is applied. Apply the nail lacquer evenly over the entire surface of the nail. Let the treated nail(s) dry for approximately 3 minutes.

    What is Daktarin Intensiv Cream?

Daktarin Intensiv Cream is a medicine which is used to treat skin infections which may appear on the feet (Athlete’s Foot) or in the groin area (Dhobie Itch/tinea cruris). The cream rapidly relieves the itching which these fungal infections cause. It also provides long lasting protection from Athlete’s Foot, as it will continue to work even after you have stopped using it.

The cream contains the active substance, ketoconazole, which works by destroying the fungi that cause the infection.

If you have Athlete’s Foot, the skin between your toes will be red and itchy. Your skin may flake and crack and often the infection causes an unpleasant ‘cheesy’ smell. It is encouraged by moist, warm conditions and can be recognised by redness, irritation and itchiness between the toes.

Tinea cruris or Dhobie Itch is a fungal infection that occurs in the groin area and causes intense itching and inflammation (redness and soreness). In men, the skin of the scrotum is often affected.

How to use Daktarin Intensiv Cream

    • Each tube of cream is sealed – unscrew the cap and use the cap to pierce the seal.
    • For topical use only, which means it is applied directly to the affected area of skin.

How to apply Daktarin Intensiv Cream

    • Wash the infected area and dry it well (especially between the toes). As many skin conditions are contagious, you should keep a towel and flannel for your own use and not share it so that you do not infect anyone else.
    • Apply the cream thinly onto the infected area and surrounding skin.
    • Wash your hands carefully after applying the cream to avoid spreading the infection to other parts of the body or to other people. Similarly, clothing which comes into contact with the infected areas, such as socks, should be washed and changed frequently.

For skin infections of the trunk, groin, feet and hands, apply Daktarin Intensiv Cream to the affected and immediate surrounding area once or twice a day.

For Athletes Foot (infections between the toes)

Adults: Rub the cream gently between the toes and surrounding area once or twice a day (morning and night) for 4 to 6 weeks. Treatment may be necessary for up to 6 weeks.

    • Continue to apply the cream to the affected areas for a few days after signs of infection have cleared to prevent them coming back.
    • If symptoms have not improved within 4 weeks talk to your doctor.

    For Dhobie Itch (Jock Itch)

Adults: Rub the cream into the affected and surrounding area once or twice daily.

    • Continue treatment for a few days after signs of infection have cleared. Treatment may be necessary for up to 4 weeks. You may feel relief from symptoms quickly but it is important that you continue to use the cream as described to prevent them from coming back.
    • If symptoms have not improved within 4 weeks talk to your doctor.

What is Canesten Bifonazole Once Daily Cream?

Canesten Bifonazole Once Daily 1% w/w Cream is used to treat athlete’s foot.

The active substance in Canesten Bifonazole Once Daily 1% w/w Cream is bifonazole. Bifonazole belongs to a group of medicines called imidazoles and is an antifungal agent which fights the cause of fungal skin infections.

How to use Canesten Bifonazole Once Daily Cream

    • Before use, pierce the tube seal by inverting the cap over the end of the tube and press.
    • Before applying the cream, your feet should be washed and dried thoroughly, especially between the toes.
    • The cream should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected areas once daily, preferably at night before going to bed, and rubbed in gently
    • Treatment should be continued for 2-3 weeks.

The symptoms of athlete’s foot, such as itching or soreness, should improve within a few days of treatment although signs such as redness and scaling may take longer to disappear. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days, consult your doctor or pharmacist

You can help the treatment to work if you follow these simple self-help tips:

    • Although the infected area will itch, try not to scratch. Scratching will damage the surface of the skin and cause the infection to spread further.
    • Keep the affected skin areas clean.
    • Pay particular attention to drying the skin, including between the toes, but avoid excessive rubbing.
    • Do not share towels, bath mats, etc. with other people as you could spread the infection to them.
    • Always wash your hands after treating the infection to prevent it from spreading.
    • Wash your socks, stockings and tights thoroughly in hot water to remove any shed skin or fungal spores.
    • Change your footwear daily if possible.

What does Canesten Bifonazole Once Daily cream contain?

The active substance is bifonazole at a strength of 1% w/w.

    What are Compeed Callus Plasters

COMPEED Callus plasters contain hydrocolloid active gel technology, which relieves pain immediately and helps remove the callus. Not only does it stay in place for days, but it also provides optimum cushioning from rubbing and pressure.

COMPEED Hydrocolloid Technology provides instant pain relief due to the cushioned layer, which quickly relieves the pressure that causes the callus. The wound healing technology works from the inside out to improve moisturisation which softens the callus, helping to remove it.

Stays in place for days to help prevent further painful rubbing.

    • Deep cushioning rapidly releases the pressure from the callus and relieves pain.
    • Ultra adhesive and tapered edges, so the cushion flexes with movement to stay in place and protect from further rubbing.
    • Form-fitting waterproof, and breathable design keeps natural moisture in and germs out for fast natural healing.
    • They are designed to fit the ball of the foot where calluses typically appear.

How to use Compeed Callus Plasters

    • Soften the skin by soaking your feet in warm water and remove any hardened skin with a towel.
    • Clean and dry skin. Remove the top paper, then the bottom piece, avoiding touching the adhesive side.
    • Apply plaster firmly over the callus.
    • Please leave it in place until it starts to detach.
    • It may stay in place for up to several days.
    • Repeat treatment until the skin has completely healed.

What is Bazuka Extra Strength Treatment Gel?

Bazuka Extra Strength Treatment Gel is a treatment for warts and verrucas.

Warts and verrucas are small excessive growths of skin caused by a type of virus. Warts often occur on the fingers or the back of the hands. You can recognise the common wart by the rough ‘cauliflower-like’ appearance of the surface. Verrucas occur only on the sole of the foot. They can be painful and often look like a small white ring of skin with black dots in the centre. The virus is very infectious. This means that warts and verrucas can grow and spread, mainly if left untreated. The virus can also be transferred to other parts of the body or from one person to another (see Section 6 for guidance on how this can be avoided).

Bazuka Extra Strength Treatment Gel is suitable for use by adults, the elderly and children aged over 2 years. An adult should treat children under 12 years, and treatment of infants under 2 years is not recommended.

The active ingredient in this product is salicylic acid.

    The active ingredient works by:

    • softening the hard skin growth, making it easier to remove with a pumice stone or emery board;
    • helping to kill the virus that causes warts and verrucas.

How to use Bazuka Extra Strength Treatment Gel

Before you use this tube of gel for the first time, open it as follows:

    • Find a suitable surface, in case of accidental spillage.
    • Hold the tube upright, with the cap uppermost and the base resting on a suitable surface.
    • Unscrew and remove the combined white and red nozzle/cap assembly from the tube.
    • Remove the red collar and dispose of it safely.
    • Keep the tube upright for 30 seconds.
    • Then, without squeezing or over-gripping the tube, and with it still held upright and away from your face:
      • replace the white and red nozzle/cap assembly onto the screw thread of the tube (take care to avoid ‘cross-threading’)
      • tighten the nozzle/cap assembly firmly to pierce the top of the tube;
      • briefly loosen the red cap (to release any slight pressure in the tube) and then retighten.
    • Please note that once in place, a small gap will remain between the base of the nozzle/cap and the top of the tube.

To use the gel (adults, children and the elderly):

Follow these steps once every day, usually in the evening. Carry on using the gel in this way until the wart or verruca disappears:

    • Soak the affected area in warm water for 2 to 3 minutes.
    • Dry the area thoroughly, using your own towel if you have a wart or verruca (this will help stop the infection spreading to other people). This towel should be used for the affected area only.
    • Taking care to avoid squeezing the tube, remove the protective red cap, leaving the white nozzle attached to the tube.
    • Carefully apply a thin coating (one or two drops) of the gel to the top of the wart or verruca only:
    • The next evening, carefully peel or pick off the white patch of dried gel from the wart or verruca:
    • Once every week, before applying the fresh gel, gently rub the wart or verruca with the emery board provided or a pumice stone. Do not let anyone else use the emery board or pumice stone as the infection may spread to them.
    • The length of treatment will vary depending on the size and resistance of the wart or verruca:
    • At the end of treatment, if the white patch is difficult to remove, you can leave it because it will eventually fall off by itself.

What does Bazuka Extra Strength Treatment Gel contain?

The active ingredient is salicylic acid 26.0% w/w.

The other ingredients are camphor, povidone, pyroxylin, ethanol, acetone and isopropyl alcohol.

What is Lamisil AT 1% Gel?

Lamisil AT 1% Gel contains the active ingredient terbinafine which is an antifungal used to treat skin problems caused by fungi in:

    • Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) – athlete’s foot appears only on the feet (usually both, but not always), where it often appears in-between the toes. It can also appear on the instep, soles, or other areas of the feet. The most common type of athlete’s foot causes cracking or scaling of the skin, but you may also have mild swelling, blisters, or weeping ulcers. Lamisil AT 1% Gel is recommended for athlete’s foot when it occurs between the toes.
    • Ringworm (tinea corporis) – Ringworm usually appears as circular, sharp-edged areas of red rash, with dry, scaly or crusty patches towards the edges. Lamisil AT 1% Gel is suitable for ringworm occurring on the trunk of the body, legs, arm, neck or head, but not face.

How to use Lamisil AT 1% Gel

Adults: Lamisil AT 1% Gel is applied once a day, for one week only, for all fungal infections.

    • Cleanse and dry the affected areas thoroughly and wash your hands. Treatment can be helped by keeping the affected areas clean by regular washing and careful drying with your own clean towels and clothes, and not rubbing or scratching the skin.
    • Unscrew the cap – If using the medicine for the first time, use the point in the cap to pierce the top of the tube then gently squeeze out the gel.
    • Rub the gel in lightly to the affected skin and surrounding areas (avoid application to where alcohol could cause stinging or irritation). When used between the toes, buttocks or on the groin, the treated area may be covered with a light, fresh gauze strip, especially at night.
    • Replace the cap on the tube and wash your hands.

Even though you will not be using Lamisil AT 1% Gel during the second week, full skin healing after the infection has cleared will continue for up to 4 weeks. If you have not noticed any signs of improvement within 2 weeks of first starting treatment, please seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

What does Lamisil AT 1% Gel contain

The active ingredient is terbinafine, 1% w/w.

If the gel accidentally gets onto normal skin, wipe it off straight away with a tissue, and, if necessary, wash the area.

If the gel accidentally gets into the eyes or mouth, it may cause damage. Rinse the eyes or mouth with plenty of water. If rinsing one eye, take care to avoid washing the product into the other eye. Then seek urgent hospital attention.

If you inhale a lot of the vapour from the gel it may make you feel light-headed. If this happens, get plenty of fresh air.

Before you use this tube of gel for the first time, open it as follows:

    • Find a suitable surface, in case of accidental spillage.
    • Hold the tube upright, with the cap uppermost and the base resting on a suitable surface.
    • Unscrew and remove the combined white and yellow nozzle/cap assembly from the tube.
    • Remove the red collar and dispose of it safely.
    • Keep the tube upright for 30 seconds.
    • Then, without squeezing or over-gripping the tube, and with it still held upright and away from your face:
    • replace the white and yellow nozzle/cap assembly onto the screw thread of the tube (take care to avoid "cross-threading");
    • tighten the nozzle/cap assembly firmly to pierce the top of the tube;
    • briefly loosen the yellow cap (to release any slight pressure in the tube) and then retighten.
    • Please note that a small gap will remain between the base of the nozzle/cap and the top of the tube once in place.

    • softening the hard skin growth, making it easier to remove with a pumice stone or emery board;

      • tighten the nozzle/cap assembly firmly to pierce the top of the tube;
