Product details
What is Daktarin Intensiv Cream?
Daktarin Intensiv Cream is a medicine which is used to treat skin infections which may appear on the feet (Athlete’s Foot) or in the groin area (Dhobie Itch/tinea cruris). The cream rapidly relieves the itching which these fungal infections cause. It also provides long lasting protection from Athlete’s Foot, as it will continue to work even after you have stopped using it.
The cream contains the active substance, ketoconazole, which works by destroying the fungi that cause the infection.
If you have Athlete’s Foot, the skin between your toes will be red and itchy. Your skin may flake and crack and often the infection causes an unpleasant ‘cheesy’ smell. It is encouraged by moist, warm conditions and can be recognised by redness, irritation and itchiness between the toes.
Tinea cruris or Dhobie Itch is a fungal infection that occurs in the groin area and causes intense itching and inflammation (redness and soreness). In men, the skin of the scrotum is often affected.
How do you catch Athlete’s Foot?
It’s extremely infectious so anyone can pick it up, especially people sharing communal changing rooms and showers.
Once the fungal spores have been transferred onto the feet, they thrive in the warm, moist areas between the toes. The skin soon becomes inflamed and itchy with flaking or cracking occurring.
The infected flakes of skin are then shed onto the floor or into the socks and shoes by walking or friction.
Someone else will be easily infected if they step on these flakes, or if they share towels or footwear with someone who has already got Athlete’s Foot.
What is more, even if you’ve already got rid of your Athlete’s Foot, it’s very easy to re-infect yourself. The spores can live on or in your shoes or socks and if you don’t change them regularly, or treat them with antifungal powders or spray powders, the Athlete’s Foot soon returns.
How to prevent re-infection
If you want to avoid the vicious circle of re-infection, here are a few helpful hints.
- Spray inside your shoes and socks with fungicidal powder before putting them on.
- Don’t wear the same pair of shoes every day. This helps reduce the build-up of sweat which provides the moisture on which the fungus thrives.
- Avoid synthetic footwear. Choose cotton socks and leather shoes which allow your feet to breathe.
- Avoid sharing towels or footwear.
- Avoid walking barefoot in changing rooms.
- Dry thoroughly between your toes and keep toenails short as this reduces the number of places fungi can grow.
How to use Daktarin Intensiv Cream
- Each tube of cream is sealed – unscrew the cap and use the cap to pierce the seal.
- For topical use only, which means it is applied directly to the affected area of skin.
How to apply Daktarin Intensiv Cream
- Wash the infected area and dry it well (especially between the toes). As many skin conditions are contagious, you should keep a towel and flannel for your own use and not share it so that you do not infect anyone else.
- Apply the cream thinly onto the infected area and surrounding skin.
- Wash your hands carefully after applying the cream to avoid spreading the infection to other parts of the body or to other people. Similarly, clothing which comes into contact with the infected areas, such as socks, should be washed and changed frequently.
For skin infections of the trunk, groin, feet and hands, apply Daktarin Intensiv Cream to the affected and immediate surrounding area once or twice a day.
For Athletes Foot (infections between the toes)
Adults: Rub the cream gently between the toes and surrounding area once or twice a day (morning and night) for 4 to 6 weeks. Treatment may be necessary for up to 6 weeks.
- Continue to apply the cream to the affected areas for a few days after signs of infection have cleared to prevent them coming back.
- If symptoms have not improved within 4 weeks talk to your doctor.
For Dhobie Itch (Jock Itch)
Adults: Rub the cream into the affected and surrounding area once or twice daily.
- Continue treatment for a few days after signs of infection have cleared. Treatment may be necessary for up to 4 weeks. You may feel relief from symptoms quickly but it is important that you continue to use the cream as described to prevent them from coming back.
- If symptoms have not improved within 4 weeks talk to your doctor.

- Treat your infected nails as described below. NAILS SHOULD BE TREATED ONCE A WEEK.
- Once weekly application should continue for six months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails.
- Nails grow slowly so it may take 2 or 3 months before you start to see an improvement.
- It is vital to carry on using the nail lacquer until the infection has cleared and healthy nails have grown back.
- The following steps should be followed carefully for each affected nail:
Step 1: File the nail
Using a new file, gently file down the infected areas of nail, including the nail surface. Protect any healthy nails while you are doing this so that you don't spread the infection.
CAUTION: Do not use the same nail file used for infected nails and healthy nails, as this could spread the infection as well.
To prevent the spread of infection, take care that no one else uses the files from your kit.
Step 2: Clean the nail
Use one of the swabs provided (or nail varnish remover) to clean the nail surface. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each affected nail.
Step 3: Apply the lacquer
Dip one of the re-usable applicators into the bottle of nail lacquer. The lacquer must not be wiped off the edge of the bottle before it is applied. Apply the lacquer evenly over the entire surface of the nail. Repeat this step for each affected nail.
Let the treated nail(s) dry for approximately 10 minutes.
Step 4: Clean the applicator
The applicators provided are re-usable. However, it is essential to clean them thoroughly after completing each treatment procedure, using the same swab you used for nail cleansing. Avoid touching newly treated nails with the swab. Close the nail lacquer bottle tightly. Dispose of the swab carefully as it is inflammable.

Lamisil AT 1% Cream - 15g
Foot CareIn stockMore InformationWhat is Lamisil AT 1% Cream?
Lamisil AT 1% Cream contains the active ingredient terbinafine hydrochloride which is an antifungal used to treat fungal skin infection, such as:
- Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) – Athlete’s foot appears only on the feet (usually both, but not always), usually in between the toes. It can also appear on the instep, soles, or other areas of the feet. The most common type of athlete’s foot causes cracking or scaling of the skin, but you may also have mild swelling, blisters, or weeping ulcers. Lamisil AT 1% Cream is recommended for athlete’s foot when it occurs between the toes. If you have a fungal nail infection (fungus inside and under the nail) with discolouration of the nails and changes in nail texture (thick or flaky), you should consult your doctor because Lamisil AT 1% Cream is not appropriate for this type of infection.
- Dhobie itch/jock itch (tinea cruris) – Dhobie itch appears in the groin and inner thigh area, usually on both sides but often with one side more than the other, where it can spread further between the legs to the buttocks, or up towards the stomach. Dhobie itch looks like a clearly bordered rash, which may have blisters.
How to use Lamisil AT 1% Cream
Adults: For Athlete’s Foot and dhobie itch, apply the cream once a day, for one week.
- Cleanse and dry the affected areas thoroughly and wash your hands. Treatment can be helped by keeping the affected areas clean by regular washing and careful drying with your own clean towels and clothes, and not rubbing or scratching the skin.
- Unscrew the cap then gently squeeze out a small amount of the cream onto your finger.
- Apply just enough cream to form a thin layer on the affected skin and surrounding areas.
- Rub in gently. When used between the toes, buttocks or on the groin, the treated area may be covered with a light, fresh gauze strip, especially at night.
- Replace the cap on the tube and wash your hands
Even though you will not be using Lamisil AT 1% Cream during the second week, full skin healing after the infection has cleared will continue for up to 4 weeks. If you have not noticed any signs of improvement within 2 weeks of first starting treatment, please seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

How to use Curanail 5% Medicated Nail Laquer
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Keeping a record
Before you start using the medicine you should keep a record of how your nail looks:
- Shade the area affected by the infection to assess your progress.
- If you have 2 nails affected, just do this for your worst nail.
- Every 3 months, shade the area affected in the next diagram.
- Do this until the infected nail has completely grown out.
This will help you remember how your nail looked so you can see your progress.
How long to use Curanail
- You need to use the medicine once a week until the infection has cleared and healthy nails have grown back.
- This usually takes 6 months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails.
- You will see a healthy nail growing as the infected nail grows out.
- Nails grow slowly so it may take 2 or 3 months before you start to see an improvement.
After every 3 months of treatment:
- If the infection has improved, continue the treatment.
- If the infection is the same or worse talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Safe use of Curanail
- If you get the medicine in your eyes or ears wash it out with water and talk to your doctor or pharmacist or go to the nearest hospital straight away.
- Do not let the medicine come into contact with your mouth or nostrils (or other mucous membranes).
- Do not inhale the medicine.
- Do not let anyone else use the files from your kit -this will stop the spread of infection.
- If you need to use chemicals such as paint thinners or white spirit when you have applied the medicine to your fingernails, wear rubber or other waterproof (impermeable) gloves. This will protect the medicine on your nails.
Step 1: Prepare the nail
Using a new file, gently file down the infected areas of the nail, including the nail surface. Protect any healthy nails while you are doing this so that you don't spread the infection.
CAUTION: Do not use the same nail file for infected nails and healthy nails, as this could spread the infection as well. To prevent the spread of infection take care that no one else uses the files from your kit.
Step 2: Clean the nail
Use one of the swabs provided to clean the nail surface. Do not throw the swab away as you will need it later to clean the applicator.
Step 3: Treat the nail
Dip one of the re-usable applicators into the bottle of nail lacquer. The lacquer must not be wiped off on the edge of the bottle before it is applied. Apply the nail lacquer evenly over the entire surface of the nail. Let the treated nail(s) dry for approximately 3 minutes.

Bazuka Sub-Zero Freeze Verruca & Wart Removal Treatment – 50ml
Foot CareIn stockMore InformationWhat is Bazuka Sub-Zero Freeze Verruca & Wart Removal Treatment
Bazuka Sub-Zero removes warts and verrucas. Bazuka Sub-Zero is a freezing wart and verruca removal device based on the cryotherapy method used by doctors.
Bazuka Sub-Zero starts working from the first application and works by freezing warts and verrucas to the core. Based on the cryotherapy method used by doctors, it's fast to use, and effective.
- A home use ‘freeze’ treatment for verrucas and warts, based on cryotherapy used by doctors and healthcare professionals.
- Freezes the verruca or wart to the core from the first treatment - for a fast to use, and effective treatment.
How does Bazuka Sub-Zero Freeze Verruca & Wart Removal Treatment work
Bazuka Sub-Zero is based on cryotherapy - a recognised 'freezing' method used by doctors and healthcare professionals. It can freeze the wart or verruca to the core in just one treatment and in most cases, after 10 days, the treated wart or verruca will fall off, revealing new skin that has formed beneath.
Bazuka Sub-Zero may be preferable for more stubborn warts and verrucas, and when a really rapid treatment is desirable. It's suitable for adults and the elderly, and for children down to the age of four. Because the sudden freezing process can be painful, Bazuka Sub-Zero is not recommended for children younger than four.
Unlike other freezing products, Bazuka Sub-Zero uses Verrukill technology, a patented double protection security system to help make sure it can be used safely. Thanks to experts at Bazuka, the freezing agent can only be discharged using the special safety cap, and users can see when the applicator is charged with the freezing agent, enabling them to localise the treatment accurately onto the wart or verruca. Some alternative freezing products do not contain the freezing agent very well and so are more prone to harmful side effects.
How to use Bazuka Sub-Zero Freeze Verruca & Wart Removal Treatment
- Assemble device
- Use safety cap to charge foam applicator with the freezing agent
- Gently apply freezer to wart or verruca - only for a matter of seconds
This treatment can be painful, it is not suitable for everybody. if used on children, it must be operated by an adult
Do not use:
- On children under 4
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding
- If you are diabetic
- Anywhere on or near your face, armpits, breasts, bottom or genital (sex) area
- On birthmarks, moles, warts with hair growing from them, or any other spots
- On skin areas that are sensitive, damaged, cut, grazed, diseased or itchy
- At the same time as any other wart or verruca treatment
What does Bazuka Sub-Zero Freeze Verruca & Wart Removal Treatment contain
A pressurised aerosol can containing the freezing agent which is a liquid mixture of Dimethyl ether, Propane and Isobutane; 12 disposable foam applicators (sufficient for 12 freeze applications); a special safety cap/ actuator; an instruction leaflet.

Daktarin Gold (Ketoconazole) 2% Cream - 15g
Foot CareOut of stockMore InformationWhat is Daktarin Gold 2% Cream?
Daktarin Gold 2% Cream is a medicine which is used to treat skin infections which may appear on the feet (Athlete’s Foot), in the groin area (Dhobie itch/tinea cruris) or between skin folds (Sweat Rash infected with a yeast infection ‘thrush’).
The cream rapidly relieves the itching which these fungal infections cause. It also provides long lasting protection from Athlete’s Foot, as it will continue to work even after you have stopped using it. The cream contains the active substance, ketoconazole, which works by destroying the fungi and yeasts that cause the infection.
Candidal intertrigo or sweat rash which has been infected with a yeast infection (‘thrush’) is usually found under the breasts and where fleshy areas around the waist or under the armpits become damp with sweat between the deep folds of skin. The skin area becomes red and sore, and it often looks like moisture is coming from the surface.
How to use Daktarin Gold 2% Cream
- Each tube of cream is sealed – unscrew the cap and use the cap to pierce the seal.
- For topical use only, which means it is applied directly to the affected area of skin.
- Do not use more often than the stated dose shown in the table.

- Wash your hands carefully after applying the cream to avoid spreading the infection to other parts of the body or to other people. Similarly, clothing which comes into contact with the infected areas, such as socks, should be washed and changed frequently.
For skin infections of the trunk, groin, feet and hands, apply Daktarin Gold 2% Cream to the affected and immediate surrounding area once or twice a day.
Your doctor will tell you how often to use it and for how long. Depending on the type of infection, treatment may last 2 to 6 weeks.
For Athlete’s foot (infections between the toes)
Adults: Rub the cream gently between the toes and surrounding area once or twice a day (morning and night) for 4 to 6 weeks. Treatment may be necessary for up to 6 weeks.
- Continue to apply the cream to the affected areas for a few days after signs of infection have cleared to prevent them coming back.
- If symptoms have not improved within 4 weeks talk to your doctor.
For Dhobie itch and Sweat Rash (Candidal Intertrigo)
Adults: Rub the cream into the affected and surrounding area once or twice daily.

- Unless the infected skin is on your hands, wash your hands carefully after applying the cream to avoid spreading the infection to other parts of the body or to other people. Similarly, clothing which comes into contact with the infected areas, such as socks, should be washed and changed frequently.
- It is preferable to wear cotton underwear if it is likely to come into contact with the cream, as the cream may damage some synthetic materials.
Adults and children aged 10 years and over: Put a small amount of the cream on the affected area twice daily. Rub it in gently until the cream has disappeared.
