Tips for relieving neck pain
Who hasn’t slept on their neck the wrong way, only to wake up to debilitating neck pain? Try some of these tips in addition to wearing a heat wrap from ThermaCare for neck pain.
Try Gentle Stretching: Start with neck rolls, moving your neck from side to side in a downward “U” shape, or simply nodding your head up and down and turning it to face the left and right.
Get a Massage: In some cases, a massage can help relax and loosen your neck. One study even found that massages can help with neck pain from arthritis. Just be sure that you’re not experiencing severe pain or any spasms.
Get A New Pillow: That’s right, your pillow might be the culprit! The National Sleep Foundation recommends replacing your pillow every year or two to maintain support for your head and neck. You might also have the wrong pillow shape for how you sleep. If you’re a side sleeper, your pillow should take up the space between your head and mattress, keeping your head straight. If you’re a back sleeper, you shouldn’t feel any incline or decline when you lay your head down.
Beware of Teck-Neck: “To avoid neck pain, be sure to hold your phone, tablet, or book up at eye level to keep your neck completely straight,” says Geno Mayes, DPT, a physical therapist and owner of Iron Physical Therapy in Caldwell, New Jersey. “If that’s impossible, try only looking down with your eyes.”
How to use ThermaCare Advanced Neck Pain Therapy
Step 1: Make sure the skin where you’re applying the wrap is clean, dry, and free of makeup, moisturizer, or lotion.

Step 3: Watch out when handling the adhesive side so you don’t get anything like lotions, lint or hair on it that will prevent the adhesive from sticking.
It may take up to 30 minutes to reach therapeutic temperature.
Wear up to 8 hours. Do not wear for more than 8 hours in any 24 hours.
Do not fold or bunch as your risk of burn is increased.

Tips For Relieving Back Pain
Did you know that about 80% of adults in the US experience lower back pain at some point? It could be from lifting something heavy, playing with kids, or even sleeping in the wrong position, but the end result is a painful back. For the most part, lower back pain doesn’t last too long and gets better over time, but here are a few extra tips for dealing with back pain along with heat therapy.
Exercise: It may surprise you, but one study tested adults who suffered from back pain and found that exercise reduced the pain. While you should consult with a doctor to avoid worsening any injuries, there are plenty of back-friendly exercises that can help alleviate pain.
Massage: Sure, massages are a great way to unwind and reward yourself, but they can also help with lower back pain. They also help with short-term pain and function, according to an American College of Physicians review of 26 trials.
Acupuncture: You might not think of feeling like a pincushion as fun, but acupuncture could be a huge help for back pain. Evidence is limited on how it helps short-term back pain, but a review of 32 studies has shown acupuncture to be moderately effective for more chronic lower back pain.
