YES VM - Natural Vaginal Moisturiser - 6 Applicators
MenopauseIn stockMore InformationNatural Vaginal Moisturiser
YES VM contains no Glycerine, no Propylene glycol, no Aspartame, no Parabens, no unpronounceable preservatives (like Diazolidinyl urea or Triethanoloamine or Imidazolidinyl urea) or Polyquaternium.
YES VM natural Vaginal Moisturiser is:
- Guaranteed pure and natural by its certified organic status
- Designed to be side effect free and deliver outstanding rehydration
- Innovative formulation with natural and organic ingredients
- Hypoallergenic: formulated to minimise the risk of allergies
Why is Osmolality important?
We mentioned Osmolality. A vaginal moisturiser is in contact with sensitive and dry tissues for much longer than an intimate lubricant, so it is even more important that the vaginal moisturiser is designed to release water where needed and to be formulated from gentle ingredients. YES VM has been designed to match these vulnerable tissues in two ways. Firstly the pH is balanced to match typical vaginal pH (moderately acidic at pH3.7-4.5), and secondly, the strength and concentration of the ingredients used in YES VM also match these tissues. This ingredients’ strength or concentration is called Osmolality. YES VM is iso-osmotic to vaginal tissues, this means that it will rehydrate tissues that need it, but will not pull or push water into the muscles, unlike intense hypo or strongly hyperosmotic moisturisers, so minimising any chance of tissue damage.
How does YES VM work?
YES VM lubricates the vaginal area, the natural hydrocolloids (gums) are bio-adhesive, they gently hold on to the dry walls of the vagina and release water, where needed, rehydrating dry mucosa. When used regularly, YES VM will restore the natural protective acidity of the vagina.
Directions for using YES VM
Each carton or pack of YES VM contains a leaflet with detailed instructions for use. To summarise:
- The pre-filled applicators deliver the right amount of YES VM to where it is needed. Discreetly and hygienically.
- The 100ml tube of YES VM does not have an applicator; it is used for finger application to the outer and inner intimate areas. Many women experience dryness not just internally.
- For best results apply regularly. This may be daily initially, and then after a week or so, every third day. YES VM is safe to use daily or as often as is needed for comfort.
- The frequency of reapplication depends on the severity of dryness. The natural and pure ingredients in YES VM mean you can apply as much as you need to feel comfortable, with no dosage concerns. YES VM is hormone-free.
- Guaranteed pure and natural by its certified organic status

Vagisan Moisturising Cream For Vaginal Dryness - 50g
MenopauseIn stockMore InformationWhat is Vagisan Moist Cream?
Vagisan Moist Cream is a smooth, white cream developed for use in symptoms of vaginal dryness. Vagisan Moist Cream contains no hormones (oestrogens) and can therefore be used alongside hormone replacement therapy or alternating with vaginal creams or pessaries that do contain hormones (oestrogen). Thanks to the addition of lactic acid, the cream is set at a pH of 4.5. As a result, Vagisan Moist Cream helps maintain a natural pH within the vagina. Two effects contribute towards the relief of symptoms of vaginal dryness by Vagisan Moist Cream:
- The cream has a high water content, thereby moisturising the skin within the vagina and external genital area.
- Nurturing lipids (fats) help to keep the skin supple.
Regular use of Vagisan Moist Cream may help prevent irritation and inflammation within the vagina and external genital area. The cream can also be used for vaginal dryness before sexual intercourse. In women wishing to conceive, there are no contraindications to using Vagisan Moist Cream for vaginal dryness, as sperm motility is not impaired.
When to use Vagisan Moist Cream?
For symptoms caused by dryness of the vagina and external genital area (dryness, stinging, itching, minor lesions and pain during intercourse, e.g. during the menopause due to an oestrogen deficiency). Vagisan Moist Cream can also be used to facilitate sexual intercourse.
What you should know about the symptoms of "vaginal dryness"
The symptoms of vaginal dryness can severely affect the quality of life of those women affected. The sensation of dryness is often accompanied by other discomforts, such as itching, stinging, minor lesions and soreness involving the vagina, vaginal opening and external genital area. In many cases, these symptoms also make sexual intercourse painful.
Commonly affected are women in menopause (which, in some cases, starts as early as at 40 years of age) and during the years thereafter. In such cases, vaginal dryness is caused by the decreasing production of sex hormones (including oestrogen). Less vaginal fluid is produced within the vagina; the skin becomes thinner and more fragile. Whilst this process is quite normal, it can bring considerable discomfort.
After womb or ovarian surgery, during pregnancy and breastfeeding or while taking the Pill, hormone deficiency/fluctuations or hormonal imbalance can also lead to symptoms of vaginal dryness.
Some metabolic disorders (e.g. diabetes), medications, radiation treatment for cancer and even stress can also be associated with dryness in the internal and external genital area.
How to use Vagisan Moist Cream
Vagisan Moist Cream is intended for application in the vagina and to the external genital area. For the treatment of vaginal symptoms, Vagisan Moist Cream is inserted into the vagina. The cream can be applied with the applicator provided or without an applicator. If you use the applicator, fill it halfway (about 2.5g cream). To make it easier to insert the applicator, a small amount of cream can also be applied to the area around the vaginal entrance. If you prefer not to use the applicator, a ribbon of cream about 2cm long can be inserted into the vagina using a clean finger. The cream should be applied daily, preferably in the evening before bedtime (if necessary, wear a panty liner). Once symptoms have improved, you can reduce how often you use the cream, depending on your needs. For symptoms in the vaginal opening and external genital area, use a clean finger to apply and spread the cream up to several times a day as needed; a ribbon of cream about 0.5cm long is sufficient.
The cream can also be used before sexual intercourse or during menstrual periods. If Vagisan Moist Cream is well tolerated, it may also be used over prolonged periods, even during pregnancy (without the applicator; see Instructions for use during pregnancy) and breast-feeding.
- Loosen the plunger, so that it can be moved inside the applicator barrel
- With the tube opening facing upwards, attach applicator onto tube opening
- Fill the applicator barrel halfway with cream (about 2.5 g cream), by gently and evenly squeezing the tube
- Remove the applicator from the tube
- You can insert the applicator into the vagina whilst lying down (on your back) or standing up (like when inserting a tampon). Carefully insert the applicator as deeply as possible into the vagina; push the plunger to empty the applicator and insert the cream into the vagina (see diagram).
- After use, clean the applicator as follows: firmly press the spherical end of the plunger onto a firm surface. This will separate the plunger from the applicator barrel. Then clean the plunger and barrel separately in warm water.
What does Vagisan Moist Cream contain?
Aqua, Benzyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Palmitate, Lactic Acid, Octyldodecanol, Polysorbate 60, Sodium Lactate, Sorbitan Stearate. Vagisan Moist Cream contains no fragrances.

Balance Activ BV Gel Hygienic 7 5ml Single-Use Applicators
MenopauseIn stockMore InformationWhen you have an intimate condition such as Bacterial Vaginosis (BV), you want a product that you can trust to treat it, and one that works in harmony with your body. There's no need to use antibiotics to treat BV as this can disrupt the good bacteria. The Balance Activ range can provide clinically proven** relief from the vaginal discharge, odour and discomfort. It's a naturally working alternative that works.
What is Bacterial Vaginosis?
Bacterial Vaginosis, or BV, appears when there's a change in the natural pH balance in the vagina. This leads to changes in the bacterial environment.
Healthy vaginas are slightly acidic, thanks to the presence of good bacteria called lactobacilli that produce lactic acid. However, if these are in short supply, harmful bacteria can grow and trigger occurrences of Bacterial Vaginosis.
Although 'Bacterial Vaginosis' sounds scary BV is a widespread condition. More women in the UK suffer from BV than any other vaginal condition. Statistically, it's twice as prevalent as thrush, even though BV is often mistaken for thrush, purely because this is better known. Because very few people have heard of BV, they typically treat symptoms as thrush. This can cause recurrences of BV and sometimes lead to thrush.
BV is normal and natural. Lots of things can cause it, but here is an idea of the most common causes:
- Excessive Washing - Internal washing – this can upset your vagina's natural balance
- Perfumed Soaps - Perfumed' intimate hygiene' products
- Menstruation - Your monthly menstrual cycle can upset the balance
- Semen - As the pH of semen is higher than the pH of your vagina.
When is the best time to use Balance Activ Gel or Pessaries?
Before bed – laying down will help the gel or pessary stay in place.
What are the symptoms of BV?
The symptoms of BV are quite similar to thrush, but there are a few main differences. BV symptoms usually include a watery discharge (sometimes grey in colour) and a strong unpleasant odour (often fishy). These are the two main symptoms of BV.
Can I use Balance Activ to maintain pH balance and help stop re-occurrence?
If you notice a re-occurrence of symptoms or suspect your vaginal balance isn't as it should be, you can use Balance Activ BV treatment gel to help restore normal pH and vaginal flora. This could be around key times when you have noticed a pattern of BV occurrences, e.g. around your period.
