Care Potassium Citrate Mixture helps to relieve the painful burning of cystitis and the symptoms of other mild urinary tract infections. Potassium Citrate Mixture provides symptomatic relief only and is not anti-bacterial.

What is Cystytis

Cystitis is a urinary tract infection (UTI) that affects the bladder. It's common, particularly in women. It often gets better by itself, but may sometimes be treated with antibiotics.

Symptoms of cystitis include:

• Pain, burning or stinging when you pee
• Needing to pee more often and urgently than usual 
• Pee that's dark, cloudy or strong smelling
• Pain low down in your tummy 

How to use Care Potassium Citrate Mixture

Recommended Doses:

Adults including the elderly, and children over 6 years: 10ml

Children 1 – 6 years: 5ml

• It should be taken well diluted with water, after meals
• Shake the bottle before use
• The dose may be taken three times a day

What is Canesten CanesOasis Cystitis Relief

CanesOasis contains an active ingredient that reduces the acidity of your urine. This reduction of acidity level helps alleviate the stinging and pain that you experience when you urinate. CanesOasis is a two-day remedy which is quick and easy to use – for each dose you simply dissolve the powder from one sachet into a glass of water and drink. It’s available in great-tasting cranberry flavour.

How to use Canesten CanesOasis Cystitis Relief

Mix the contents of the sachet with a (200ml) glass of water and drink immediately. This is a 2-day course of treatment. Adult women: 1 sachet 3 times a day for 2 days, as required. This medicine is not to be used by men or children.

Do not exceed the stated dose. If symptoms persist or worsen after the 2-day course is completed, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not repeat the treatment without medical advice.

These cranberry flavoured sachets offer an effective two-day course to relieve the symptoms of cystitis. They are suitable for all adult women unless breastfeeding or pregnant. If symptoms continue beyond the end of the treatment, a doctor’s opinion should be sought.

It may help cystitis to:

• Drink plenty of water
  
• Hold a hot water bottle on the stomach or between the thighs
• Urinate frequently
  
• Wipe from front to back when going to the toilet
• Gently wash around the genitals with a skin-sensitive soap

How to use Care Cystitis Relief Sachets

Adult women: The contents of one sachet dissolved in a glass of water, to be taken three times a day for two days.
