Clotrimazole Cream 1% Fungal Treatment 50g
Fungal InfectionsIn stockMore InformationWhat is Clotrimazole Cream 1% Fungal Treatment?
The active substance is clotrimazole. Clotrimazole belongs to a group of medicines called imidazoles and is an antifungal agent which fights the cause of fungal skin infections.
Clotrimazole is used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, fungal nappy rash and fungal sweat rash. It is also used to relieve irritation of the vulva (external thrush) or the end of the penis, which may be associated with thrush.
When Clotrimazole is applied to the infected area of skin, it works by destroying the fungus or yeast which has caused the infection.
How to use Clotrimazole Cream 1% Fungal Treatment
- Before use, pierce the tube seal by inverting the cap over the end of the tube and press.
- If the feet are infected, they should be washed and dried thoroughly, especially between the toes, before applying the cream.
- Clotrimazole should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected areas, two or three times daily and rubbed in gently.
- A strip of cream (½ cm long) is enough to treat an area of about the size of the hand.
- The duration of the treatment depends upon the type of infection. Use the cream for at least two weeks for candida (thrush) infections or at least one month for other infections.
- If you have athlete’s foot, it may help to use an antifungal dusting powder as well. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend one.
The symptoms of skin infection such as itching or soreness should improve within a few days of treatment, although signs such as redness and scaling may take longer to disappear. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
What does Clotrimazole Cream 1% Fungal Treatment contain
The active substance is clotrimazole. Each gram of cream contains 10 mg of clotrimazole (i.e. 1% w/w).

Panadol Extra Advance - 32 x 500mg/65mg Tablets
Pain ReliefIn stockMore InformationWhat are Panadol Extra Advance Tablets
Panadol Extra Advance Tablets are absorbed faster than standard paracetamol and caffeine tablets.
They can relieve headaches, migraines, backaches, rheumatic, toothache and period pain. They also reduce the fever, aches and pains of colds and flu.
The tablets contain two active ingredients. Paracetamol is a painkiller that reduces your temperature when you have a fever, and caffeine acts to help the effectiveness of paracetamol further.
How to take Panadol Extra Advance Tablets
Adults and children aged 16 years and over: Swallow two tablets every 4 hours as needed. Do not take more than eight tablets in 24 hours.
Children aged 12-15 years: Swallow one tablet every 4 hours as needed. Do not give more than four tablets in 24 hours.
- Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours.
- Do not take more than the recommended dose.
- Do not give to children under 12 years.
- Avoid too much caffeine in drinks like coffee and tea.
High caffeine intake can cause difficulty sleeping, shaking and an uncomfortable feeling in the chest.
If your symptoms continue or your headache becomes persistent, see your doctor.
If you take too many tablets
Talk to a doctor immediately if you take too much of this medicine, even if you feel well. This is because too much paracetamol can cause delayed, severe liver damage.

- How often you apply AproDerm Emollient Cream depends on how dry your skin is.
- AproDerm Emollient Cream can be used instead of soap (soap substitute). Apply to your skin whilst showering to clean and moisturise simultaneously.

Eczema, Psoriasis & DermatitisOut of stockGet started£5.99What is Hydrocortisone Ointment?
Hydrocortisone ointments, creams and lotions contain a type of medicine known as a corticosteroid or 'steroid'. Corticosteroids are not the same as anabolic steroids.
Hydrocortisone ointments are used on the skin to treat swelling, itching and irritation. They can help with skin problems such as:
- Psoriasis
- Eczema
- Contact dermatitis
- Prickly heat rash
- Nappy rash
- Insect bites and stings
Who is this ointment suitable for
Most adults and children can use hydrocortisone skin ointments.
However, don't use hydrocortisone skin products on children under ten years old unless their doctor recommends it.
Hydrocortisone skin ointment isn't suitable for some people.
Tell your pharmacist or doctor before starting the medicine if you:
- have had an allergic reaction to hydrocortisone or any other medicine in the past
- have a skin infection (including eye infections)
- are trying to get pregnant, are already pregnant, or you're breastfeeding
Cream, ointment or lotion?
There are different types of hydrocortisone skin products. Creams are the most common, but there are also hydrocortisone ointments and lotions.
As a general rule:
- Hydrocortisone cream is better for skin which is moist and weepy with clear or yellow fluid.
- Hydrocortisone ointment is thicker and greasier - it's better for dry or flaky areas of skin.
- Hydrocortisone lotion is a liquid - it's useful for treating the scalp and large or hairy areas of skin.
How to apply Hydrocortisone Ointment
- Spread the ointment in a thin layer over the area of irritated skin.
- Carefully smooth it into your skin in the direction the hair grows until it disappears.
- Be careful not to get the ointment into broken skin or cuts.
- Wash your hands afterwards (unless it's your hands that you're treating).
- Use the ointment on all the irritated skin, not just the worst areas.

Dermol 500 Lotion - 500ml
Skin CareIn stockMore InformationWhat is Dermol 500 Lotion
Dermol 500 Lotion is an antimicrobial and emollient (softening and moisturising) treatment for application to dry or problem skin.
It is for use in two ways:
- as a leave-on application
- as a soap-substitute
It helps treat and prevent dry and itchy (pruritic) skin conditions, especially eczema and dermatitis.
All age groups can use Dermol 500 Lotion, including babies.
There are two types of the active ingredient in this product:
Benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine dihydrochloride are antimicrobials. These help to:
- combat bacteria present on your skin that can make eczema worse
- prevent infection caused by scratching itchy skin.
Liquid paraffin and isopropyl myristate are emollients that help to:
- soften, moisturise and protect your skin by trapping moisture in the skin and restoring the normal protective function of the skin
- prevent the skin-drying and irritant effects that can be caused by washing and bathing and by the soaps, foaming additives and fragrances used in ordinary skin cleansing products.
This product can be used in addition to any other emollients or treatments your doctor or pharmacist may have given or prescribed for you to treat your dry skin condition.
How to use Dermol 500 Lotion
Use it only on the skin. For maximum benefit, you should use this product on a regular basis and as often as required.
Before using the 500 ml bottle, turn the top of the pump dispenser anti-clockwise to unlock it.
After unlocking, you will need to press down the pump dispenser several times to prime the pump before any product is dispensed.
The same instructions apply for all age groups:
For use as a leave-on application
- Apply Dermol 500 Lotion to the affected areas.
- Gently smooth into the skin.
- If necessary, allow time for any excess to soak in. Do not rub the skin vigorously.
- Reapply as often as required.
- If you are applying another treatment to the same areas of skin as Dermol 500 Lotion, try to avoid mixing the two products. This can be achieved by applying the treatments alternately, leaving sufficient time to allow the previous application to soak in.
For use as a soap substitute
- Use Dermol 500 Lotion to wash with instead of your ordinary soap or shower gel. It will not foam or lather like ordinary cosmetic products.
- After washing, bathing or showering, pat the skin dry with a soft towel (avoid rubbing as this can make dry skin conditions worse).
What does Dermol 500 Lotion contain?
The active ingredients in this product are benzalkonium chloride (0.1% w/w), chlorhexidine dihydrochloride (0.1% w/w), liquid paraffin (2.5% w/w) and isopropyl myristate (2.5% w/w).
The other ingredients are cetostearyl alcohol, macrogol cetostearyl ether (cetomacrogol 1000), phenoxyethanol and purified water.

AproDerm Barrier Cream - 30g

With its advanced triple-action formula, AproDerm Barrier Cream is designed to protect, moisturise and condition the skin. This gentle, long-lasting, transparent cream forms a breathable layer on the skin defending it from further damage whilst helping to soothe, protect and heal. Scientifically developed to be free from SLS, parabens, and fragrances, which can irritate delicate and vulnerable skin, it is gentle enough for everyone, from newborn babies to the elderly. Dermatologically tested, cruelty-free and suitable for vegans, AproDerm Barrier Cream is everyone's best friend.
So, suppose you're looking for a gentle skin barrier cream to help ease the discomfort and distress of your little one's nappy rash or simply as an addition to an incontinence care routine. In that case, this versatile barrier cream is a perfect choice.
How to use AproDerm Barrier Cream
A nappy rash is skin irritation. It occurs when your precious little one's delicate skin is exposed to prolonged wetness and contact with wee and poo in their nappy. It's made worse by the nappy rubbing against the sensitive skin. Prevention is always better than cure or treatment, so follow these three simple steps to care for and protect your baby's delicate skin from the causes of nappy rash:
- Gently clean your baby's nappy area from front to back using either cotton balls dampened with water or wipes that are fragrance-free and soap-free
- Make sure to clean all the creases too.
- Put an appropriate clean nappy (make sure it's the correct size as we don't want it rubbing or leaking!) under your baby's bottom and gently pat the area dry with a clean cloth, ensuring that you don't rub
- Softly apply a thin layer of AproDerm Barrier Cream to reduce the risk of nappy rash or to help heal if the nappy rash is already present. A penny-sized amount will do just fine (this covers an area of 100 cm2 – roughly the size of a square coaster). If you apply too much, the site will become greasy.
- Stroke the cream gently onto the skin, ensuring it gets into the creases. Avoid rubbing the area.
- AproDerm Barrier cream is so gentle it can be applied to the baby's bottom after every nappy change if required, up to 10 times a day. It is essential to use at nighttime, as your baby is in their nappy the longest without a change.
Be sure to change the nappy regularly to reduce your baby's skin contact with wee and poo. You should talk to your health visitor or GP for severe nappy rash or if your baby develops a temperature with inflammation.

How to use AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack
AproDerm Emollient Starter contains four types of emollients, each varying in the amount of hydration they offer, their consistency and their ingredients. FindFinding, the best emollient for your skin, is not a simple process as each of us is unique, just like your skin. Several factors need to be taken into consideration, including the dryness of your skin and the type of moisturiser you prefer taking into account lifestyle, personal preference and age. So, to ensure you find the suitable emollient, try all four emollients within the pack before deciding what’s best for your skin. To apply, remove the tamper-evident seal, squeeze the emollient onto your hand, and apply liberally to the affected area, smoothing gently onto the skin, following the direction of hair growth. Do not rub in the emollient, as this can irritate the skin; leave a thin layer and allow it to soak in. Use as often as required or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
