What is AproDerm Gel

Soft, smooth and hydrated. Help your dry skin become the three things it wants to be by using our deeply moisturising AproDerm Gel. It has all the benefits of an ointment without being as greasy. It actively draws and retains moisture within the skin, forming a protective barrier on its surface that reduces dryness and irritation. AproDerm Gel will leave your skin looking and feeling its best, so you can focus on the more essential things in your daily life. We also appreciate the range of lifestyles people can follow, which is why our AproDerm Gel (along with our Emollient & Ointment) is vegan-friendly.

How to use AproDerm Gel

  • Wash hands before applying.
  • Break the tamper-evident seal on the pump and turn the nozzle clockwise to the open position.
  • Press the pump ten times on your first use to release gel onto your hand.
  • Apply AproDerm® Gel regularly, liberally and frequently using gentle strokes and following the direction of hair growth to keep your skin soft and moisturised.
  • Do not rub, as this can cause irritation and itching and may block the hair follicles, causing inflammation (folliculitis).
  • For maximum effectiveness, leave a thin gel layer on the skin to soak in.
  • How often you apply, AproDerm® Gel will depend on how dry your skin is.
  • AproDerm® Gel can be used before bathing (known as pre-bathing) to protect the skin from the drying effects of bathing, as well as after bathing to skin that is almost dry to trap moisture.
  • If you have eczema or psoriasis, continue using AproDerm® Gel is recommended to reduce the risk of flare-ups.
  • Safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding as AproDerm® Colloidal Oat Cream is unlikely to have any ill effects when used as directed; however, if you are unsure, feel free to talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
  • AproDerm® is for external use; if accidentally swallowed, see a doctor immediately, taking the pack with you.

Please note: Emollients containing paraffin can readily ignite with a naked flame, and if the product comes into contact with dressings and clothes, they can be more easily ignited with a naked flame. You should keep away from fire when using these types of emollients.
