The liquid contains diphenhydramine which is an antihistamine that helps relieve coughing, dry secretions in the nose and chest, and helps you sleep, guaifenesin (an expectorant) to help loosen mucus (phlegm) from the lungs and make it easier to cough up, and levomenthol which helps you breathe more easily by relieving congestion.
How to take Benylin Mucus Cough Relief Night Syrup
- For oral use only.
Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take two 5 ml spoonfuls four times a day OR Take two 5 ml spoonfuls at bedtime followed by two 5 ml spoonfuls every 6 hours, as required.
- Do not use in children under 12 years.
- Do not take more than 4 doses (1 dose = two 5 ml spoonfuls) in 24 hours
- If symptoms persist, talk to your doctor or pharmacist

How to take Benylin Day & Night Cold & Flu Relief Tablets
- For oral use only.
- Do not take more medicine than the label tells you to.
- Take with a glass of water.
Children under 12 years old: Do not give to children under 12 years old.
Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
- Day time 1 white tablet every 4-6 hours, up to 3 times a day (one tablet in the morning at mid-day and in the afternoon).
- Night time 1 blue tablet to be taken at night.
- Do not take more than 3 white tablets a day.
- Take only 1 tablet at a time and only at the times of day described in the table.
- Do not take nighttime tablets during the day.

The capsules contain paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic to relieve pain and fever; caffeine, a stimulant to help combat the tiredness associated with a cold and to help increase the pain relief; and phenylephrine, a decongestant to relieve nasal congestion.
How to take Benylin Cold & Flu Max Strength Capsules
- For oral use only.
- Swallow whole with water. Do not chew.
- Do not take more medicine than the label tells you to. If you do not get better, talk to your doctor.
Children and adolescents: Do not give to children under 16 years.
Adults, the elderly and children aged 16 years and over: Two capsules every 4 to 6 hours as required.
- Leave at least 4 to 6 hours between doses.
- Do not take more than eight capsules (4 doses) in any 24 hours period.
