Care Glycerin can be used by the whole family, either taken orally to relieve sore throats or mixed with water and applied to the skin as a moisturiser to soothe rough, chapped areas. It is not suitable for diabetics and pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised to only use this product if recommended by a doctor.
To help soothe a sore throat and shorten how long it lasts, patients can:

Instant feed lactase enzyme drops to reduce lactose content in breast milk and infant formula.
Care Co-Lactase does not contain sugar, preservatives or flavouring. Feed instantly after adding to both breast milk and infant formula.
Care Co-Lactase Infant Drops can be used for babies who are being breastfed and also those being given infant formula – without interfering with the feeding process.
Lactose is a complex sugar found in milk, dairy products, infant formulas and breast milk. Lactase is the enzyme usually produced by our bodies to break down lactose into more simple sugars so our bodies can absorb it.
Babies' immature digestive systems can have trouble breaking down the lactose in milk into more simple sugars. Care Co-Lactase Infant Drops are suitable for babies from birth onwards for as long as it takes the baby to grow out of their transient lactase deficiency – usually three or four months.
How to use Care Co-Lactase Infant Drops
Care Co-Lactase® can be used in breast milk and formula milk at each feed.
Breast Feeding:
- Express a few tablespoons of breast milk into a small sterilised container. Add 4 drops of Care Co-Lactase®.
- Give this to your baby on a sterilised plastic spoon or using a syringe, and continue breastfeeding as normal.
Expressed Breast Milk:
- Defrost the milk if necessary and warm to feeding temperature
- Add 4 drops of Care Co-Lactase® to the milk when warm. Please note: do not add Care Co-Lactase® to the milk if it is hot.
- Shake the milk and feed as normal.
- Discard any unused milk.
Infant Formula:
- Make the baby formula according to the manufacturer’s instructions
- Add 4 drops of Care Co-Lactase® to the formula when at feeding temperature. Please note: do not add Care Co-Lactase® to the formula if it is hot.
- Shake the formula and feed as normal.
- Discard any unused formula.
Making Formula in Advance:
- Make the baby formula according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Add 2 (two) drops of Care Co-Lactase® to warm (not hot) milk and store in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours.
- The prepared formula must be used within 12 hours of making it.
- Warm to feeding temperature as normal when you need to feed.
- Discard any unused formula.
Ready to Feed Formula:
- Warm the formula to the feeding temperature.
- Add 4 drops of Care Co-Lactase® to the formula when warm. Please note: do not add Care Co-Lactase® to the formula if it is hot.
- Shake the formula and feed as normal.
- Discard any unused formula.
