Xailin Night Lubricating Eye Ointment provides soothing relief in the symptoms of dry eyes, like soreness, irritation, or even a gritty sensation. Dry eye symptoms happen because of ocular surface disorders which can be caused by many different motives where the ordinary tears are of poor quality or produced in too little quantity to maintain the eye sufficiently moistly.

Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer 3ml
Foot CareIn stockMore InformationWhat is Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer?
Amorolfine 5% w/v is used to treat:
- Fungal infections of the nails without the involvement of the nail root (nail matrix)
- Fungal infections affecting up to 2 nails and affecting the upper half or sides of the nail (as shown in the first picture below). If the infection appears to be more like pictures 2 or 3; you should consult your doctor.
- The active substance in Amorolfine 5% w/v is amorolfine (as the hydrochloride) which belongs to a group of medicines known as antifungals.
- Amorolfine 5% w/v kills a wide variety of fungi that can cause nail infections. Fungal nail infection is likely to result in discoloured (white, yellow, or brown), thick or brittle nails, although their appearance can vary considerably.
How to use Amorolfine 5% Nail Lacquer
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, Amorolfine 5% w/v is used as follows:
- Treat your infected nails as described below. NAILS SHOULD BE TREATED ONCE A WEEK.
- Once weekly application should continue for six months for fingernails and 9 to 12 months for toenails.
- Nails grow slowly so it may take 2 or 3 months before you start to see an improvement.
- It is vital to carry on using the nail lacquer until the infection has cleared and healthy nails have grown back.
- The following steps should be followed carefully for each affected nail:
Step 1: File the nail
Using a new file, gently file down the infected areas of nail, including the nail surface. Protect any healthy nails while you are doing this so that you don't spread the infection.
CAUTION: Do not use the same nail file used for infected nails and healthy nails, as this could spread the infection as well.
To prevent the spread of infection, take care that no one else uses the files from your kit.
Step 2: Clean the nail
Use one of the swabs provided (or nail varnish remover) to clean the nail surface. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each affected nail.
Step 3: Apply the lacquer
Dip one of the re-usable applicators into the bottle of nail lacquer. The lacquer must not be wiped off the edge of the bottle before it is applied. Apply the lacquer evenly over the entire surface of the nail. Repeat this step for each affected nail.
Let the treated nail(s) dry for approximately 10 minutes.
Step 4: Clean the applicator
The applicators provided are re-usable. However, it is essential to clean them thoroughly after completing each treatment procedure, using the same swab you used for nail cleansing. Avoid touching newly treated nails with the swab. Close the nail lacquer bottle tightly. Dispose of the swab carefully as it is inflammable.
What does Amorolfine 5% w/v contain?
Amorolfine 5% w/v contains 50 mg/ml of the active substance amorolfine (equivalent to 55.74 mg/ml amorolfine hydrochloride).

It can also be used to treat the symptoms of urticaria, also known as hives, where the skin looks blotchy with white raised wheals (bumps) surrounded by redness. This medicine is for use in adults under 65 years old and children aged 12 years and over.
Common Allergy Symptoms
Itchy Eyes - Allergy eyes are one of the most uncomfortable symptoms of hay fever. Theyāll often feel irritated, sore or swollen, and can be an annoying distraction throughout the day. Pollen is a fine powder that can easily get into the eyes. Your bodyās natural defence is to create histamine, but although this is meant to help, itās what actually causes that itchy feeling!
Itchy Runny Nose - When you have allergies, your body reacts to things that aren't really harmful, like pollen, dust mites, mould, or pet dander. It releases histamine, a chemical that causes swelling and inflammation. The blood vessels in your eyes swell and your eyes get red, teary, and itchy.
Sneezing - Unlike the type of sneezing associated with a cold, allergy sneezing happens when airborne pollen finds its way into your nasal cavities and your body tries to force it out. Itās one of the most common rhinitis symptoms, so if you know youāre prone to it, we recommend always having some tissues handy
Common Sinus Congestion Symptoms
Sinus Pain - If you have sinus pain, it may feel like thereās pressure against your eyes, cheeks and forehead. This often worsens when you bend over or lie down. It usually goes hand-in-hand with other common sinus congestion symptoms, such as a blocked nose, tiredness, or even an achy feeling in your upper teeth.
Blocked Nose - A blocked nose is one of the most common symptoms of a cold ā and also one of the most annoying! Your nose may also be runny, and you might find it hard to talk or breathe normally. Itās often believed a blocked nose is caused by the build-up of mucus, but that blocked feeling is actually down to inflamed blood vessels in the nose cavity.
Headache - If you have a headache and feel generally unwell, chances are you have a head cold. Itās just like a common cold, but the symptoms are mostly felt around your face and sinuses. Remember, there are many other headache causes, so if it persists, you should always go and see a doctor.
How to take Benadryl Allergy Relief Capsules

Allergies & HayfeverIn stockGet started£15.34What are Catacrom Eye Drops
Catacrom Eye Drops are for the relief and treatment of allergic red, watery, itchy and puffy eyes caused by hayfever, house mites, and other causes of allergy such as pet hairs. Eye allergy can happen when sensitive eyes are exposed to these causes of allergy.
Catacrom Eye Drops is a medicine that affects cells called mast cells. It prevents them from releasing chemical substances that cause redness, watering, itching, and puffiness of allergic reactions.
These eye drops can be used by wearers of rigid or gas permeable contact lenses and can be used by people who are sensitive to preservatives in other kinds of eye drops.
How to use Catacrom Eye Drops
Catacrom Eye Drops are for use in the eye only.
Usual Dose
Catacrom Eye Drops are suitable for use in adults, the elderly and children.
The drops are in single-dose units. Put one or two drops into each eye four times a day, or as directed by your doctor. Avoid touching the eye with the dropper.
Read the instructions on the carton carefully. Wash your hands before and after you use these eye drops.
Steps for Using Catacrom Eye Drops
- Break off one unit dose container from the strip.
- Open the unit dose container by bending/twisting the tab (Figure 1).
- Tilt your head backwards.
- Gently pull down the lower lid to form a pouch (Figure 2).
- With the unit dose in the other hand, put one drop inside the pouch by gently squeezing the container. Try not to touch anything with the tip (Figure 3).
- Close the eye for about 30 seconds and at the same time gently press a finger against the corner of the closed eye, nearest the nose. (Figure 4).
- Some drops may roll down your face. This is normal. The eye holds less than one drop. Wipe away the excess with a clean tissue. If the drop of medication is not retained for any reason, another drop should be dropped into the eye pouch.
- If you use more than one type of eye drop, wait five minutes before putting in the next one. This prevents the first drop from being washed away.
- Repeat instructions 3-8 for the other eye.
