Orlos (Orlistat) Weight Loss Capsules - 84 x 60mg
Product details
What are Orlos (Orlistat) Weight Loss Capsules?
Orlos is a medicine used to treat obesity. It works in your digestive system to block about one-third of the fat in the food you eat from being digested. Orlos attaches to the enzymes in your digestive system (lipases) and blocks them from breaking down some of the fat you have eaten during your meal. The undigested fat cannot be stored and is eliminated by your body. Orlos is indicated in the treatment of obesity in conjunction with a low calorie intake diet.
How to take Orlos (Orlistat) Weight Loss Capsules?
Choose your start date
Choose the day you will start taking the capsules ahead of time. Before you start taking the capsules, begin your reduced calorie, lower-fat diet and give your body a few days to adjust to your new eating habits. Keep a record of what you are eating in a food diary. Food diaries are effective, because they make you aware of what you are eating, how much you eat, and give you the basis to make changes.
Decide on your weight loss goal
Think about how much weight you want to lose and then set a target weight. A realistic goal is to lose between 5% to 10% of your starting weight. The amount of weight you lose may vary from week to week. You should aim to lose weight at a gradual, steady pace of about 0.5 kg (1 lb) per week.
Set your calorie and fat targets
To help you reach your weight-loss goal you need to set two daily targets, one for calories and one for fat.
Adults 18 and over:
- Take one capsule, three times a day.
- Take Orlos just before, during or up to one hour after meals. This usually means one capsule at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure your three main meals are well balanced, reduced calorie, and lower-fat.
- If you miss a meal, or your meal contains no fat, do not take a capsule. Orlos does not work unless there is some fat in the meal.
- Swallow the capsule whole with water.
- Do not take more than 3 capsules a day.
How long should I take Orlos for?
- Orlos should not be taken for more than six months.
- If you do not lose weight after taking Orlos for 12 weeks, see your doctor or pharmacist for advice. You may need to stop taking Orlos.
- Successful weight loss is not just about eating differently for a short period of time before reverting to your old habits. People who lose weight and maintain the loss make lifestyle changes, which include changes to what they eat and how active they are.

Eczema, Psoriasis & DermatitisIn stockGet started£7.69What is Eumovate Eczema and Dermatitis Cream 0.05%?
Eumovate is used for the short-term treatment and control of patches of red, itchy skin caused by eczema and dermatitis. The cream stops the skin’s over-reaction to the triggers that cause skin flare-ups, such as eczema or dermatitis. The active ingredient is clobetasone butyrate, a topical corticosteroid to control skin inflammation. The cream base also has moisturising properties.
When can I use Eumovate Cream?
Eumovate cream contains a steroid that reduces inflammation and flare-ups of psoriasis or eczema, often associated with swelling, itching, redness and irritation.
What is eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis?
Eczema is a dry skin condition which makes skin feel itchy, dry and irritated. Dermatitis is a sort of inflammation triggered when the skin comes in contact with something irritable, like harsh additives or disinfectants. Psoriasis is characterised by flaky, red skin patches covered in silver scales, which may be sore and itchy. Flare-ups of eczema and psoriasis may involve:
- Dry skin
- Redness
- Itching
- Blisters
- Cracked skin
- Inflammation
Managing eczema and dermatitis
Skin specialist advice - Skin specialists often advise people with eczema or dermatitis to use emollient (moisturising) skin products, including creams and bath oils, to keep moisture in the skin. This can make your skin more resistant to flare-ups. Avoid using soap and heavily scented products.
If a rash comes back - Sometimes people with dermatitis find their rash soon comes back after treatment or never disappears completely. This is often because they are still in contact with their trigger, i.e. what causes the reaction.
Common triggers of eczema and dermatitis include:
- Jewellery, including earrings or studs (especially gold-plated earrings)
- Coins
- Watch buckles, metal straps or the metal back of a watch
- Metal studs or fastenings on jeans, bras or underwear.
All of these have a metal in them called nickel, which is a very common trigger. If you react badly to nickel, all of the triggers in the list could be a problem. So, if you’ve reacted badly to one of the common triggers, you’ll need to watch out for the other common triggers.
Other common triggers of eczema and dermatitis include:
- In the home: such as plasters, furniture polish, varnishes, rubber gloves or elastic in clothes
- In substances you use at work, such as glues, oils, lubricants or cement
- In the garden: certain plants and weeds, gardening gloves.

Dulcolax 5mg Tablets for Constipation, 100 Tablets

Dulcolax Tablets are used for the short-term relief of occasional constipation. Dulcolax Tablets contain bisacodyl and belong to a group of medicines known as stimulant laxatives, which increase bowel movements. This medicine does not help with weight loss.
What is constipation?
Healthy and regular bowel movements are essential for most people. However, what is 'normal and regular' varies from person to person. Some may have a bowel movement every day, others less often. Whatever it is like for you, your bowel movement should have a regular pattern.
- Constipation is an occasional problem for some people. For others, it may happen more often.
- It happens when the typical muscle actions in the bowel (large intestine) slow down. This can mean that material is not easily eliminated from the body
The cause of constipation is often not known. It can be associated with:
- A sudden change in diet
- A diet with not enough fibre
- Not drinking enough fluids.
- Loss of 'tone' of the bowel muscles in older people
- Pregnancy
- Medicines such as morphine or codeine
- Having to stay in bed for a long time
- Lack of exercise
Whatever the cause, constipation can be uncomfortable. It may make you feel bloated and heavy or generally 'off-colour'. Sometimes it causes headaches.
It is recommended to use changes in diet and bulk forming medicines to control constipation before using this medicine.
These healthy tips are recommended to try to prevent constipation happening:
- Eat a balanced diet including fresh fruit and vegetables
- Drink enough water so that you do not become dehydrated
- Keep up your exercise and stay fit
- Make time to empty your bowels when your body tells you
How to take Dulcolax Tablets
For constipation: Adults (including the elderly):
1 to 2 tablets at night.
- Swallow the tablets whole with water. The tablets should not be chewed or crushed.
- Milk, antacids or proton pump inhibitors (medicines which reduce stomach acid) should not be taken within one hour before or after taking Dulcolax Tablets. This is because they will stop the Dulcolax Tablets from working correctly.
If you have not taken Dulcolax Tablets before, start with one tablet and increase to two if necessary. When your bowel regularity has returned to normal, the dose can usually be stopped.
Note:
- This medication should NOT be taken for more than 5 days without medical supervision.
- This medication is for short term use only.
- This medication does NOT help with weight loss.
Length of treatment
These tablets should not be taken every day for more than 5 days. If you need laxatives every day, then you should see your doctor to find the cause of your constipation. Overuse can be harmful.

Alli Weight Loss 60mg - 84 Capsules
Weight ManagementIn stockMore InformationWhat are Alli Weight Loss Capsules
alli 60 mg hard capsules (orlistat) is a peripherally acting antiobesity product used for weight loss in adults aged 18 and over who are overweight, and have a body mass index (BMI) of 28 or above. alli should be used along with a reduced calorie, lower-fat diet.
BMI is a way to determine if you have a healthy weight or are overweight for your height. The chart below will help you decide whether or not you are overweight and alli is right for you.
Risk of being overweight
Being overweight increases your risk of developing several serious health problems, such as diabetes and heart disease. These conditions may not cause you to feel unwell, so you should see your doctor for a general health check.
How alli works
The active ingredient (orlistat) in alli targets fat in your digestive system. It stops about a quarter of the fat in your meals from being absorbed. This fat will pass out of the body in your stools (see section 4). It is, therefore, vital that you commit to a lower-fat diet to manage these effects. If you do, the action of the capsules will assist your efforts by helping you to lose more weight compared to dieting alone. For every 2 kg (4 lb) you lose from dieting alone, alli can help you lose 1 kg (2 lb) more.
What you need to know before you take alli
Do not take alli:
- If you have cholestasis (a condition where bile flow from the liver is blocked).
- If you are taking ciclosporin, used after organ transplants, for severe rheumatoid arthritis and some severe skin conditions.
- If you are allergic to orlistat or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If you are taking warfarin or other medicines used to thin the blood.
- If you have problems absorbing food (chronic malabsorption syndrome), it is diagnosed by a doctor.

Decide on your weight loss goal - Think about how much you want to lose, then set a target weight. A realistic goal is to lose between 5% to 10% of your starting weight. The amount of weight you lose may vary from week to week. It would be best to lose a gradual, steady pace of about 0.5 kg (1 lb) weekly.
Set your calorie and fat targets - To help you reach your weight-loss goal, you must set two daily targets, one for calories and one for fat.
