What are Care Cold & Flu Relief Tablets?

Cold and Flu Relief tablets work to relieve symptoms of cold and flu with associated congestion, including aches and pains, headache, fever, sore throat, blocked nose and sinuses.

Care Cold & Flu Relief 200mg/5mg Film-Coated Tablets are for the symptoms of cold and flu with associated congestion, including aches and pains, sore throat, blocked nose and sinuses. Each tablet contains 200mg of ibuprofen and 5mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride.

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and is effective against aches and pains (including headache), swelling, and can also reduce a fever.

Phenylephrine hydrochloride (nasal decongestant) reduces swelling in the passages of the nose, relieving nasal congestion and reducing the pressure, which may cause a headache.

Other causes of coughs include:

• Smoking
• Heartburn (acid reflux)
• Allergies – for example, hay fever.
• Infections like bronchitis
• Mucus dripping down the throat from the back of the nose

What are the symptoms of a cold?

Cold symptoms come on gradually and can include:

• Blocked or runny nose
• Sore throat
• Headaches
• Muscle aches
• Coughs
• Sneezing
• A raised temperature

What's the difference between cold and flu?

• Colds appear gradually and affect mainly the nose and throat. You will feel unwell, but it's OK to carry on as usual, for example, go to work.
• Flu – Appears quickly within a few hours, affects more than just the nose and throat, makes people feel exhausted and too unwell to carry on as usual.

Who can use this product?

Adults can use it, the elderly, and children over 12 years.

How to use Care Cold & Flu Relief Tablets?

Take two tablets every 8 hours. Tablets must be swallowed whole with water – do not chew the tablets. Leave at least 4 hours between doses and do not exceed six tablets in any 24 hours. If symptoms persist or worsen, if new symptoms occur, or if the product is required for more than ten days, consult a doctor.
