What is Calpol SixPlus FastMelts Strawberry?
The paracetamol in Calpol SixPlus FastMelts Strawberry is used to relieve pain and/or bring down fever (high temperature) in many conditions including cold and flu, headache, toothache, earache, post-immunisation fever, sore throat and other aches and pains.
How to use Calpol SixPlus FastMelts Strawberry
- For oral use only.
- To remove tablet use a fingernail to break the foil along the dotted line before pressing the tablet out.
- Tablets can be sucked gently until they melt on the tongue. There is no need to take water as they melt into a pleasant tasting paste which is easily swallowed.
- Alternatively, the tablets can be dissolved in a teaspoon of water or milk if preferred.
- Do not give more medicine than the label tells you to. If your child does not get better, talk to your doctor.
Children from 6 years to adults
6-9 years - 1 tablet
9-12 years - 2 tablets
12-16 years - 2-3 tablets
Adults and children over 16 years - 2-4 tablets
- Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24 hours.
- Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
- Do not give this medicine to your child for more than 3 days without speaking to your doctor or pharmacist.
What does Calpol SixPlus FastMelts Strawberry contain?
The active ingredient is: paracetamol 250 mg per tablet.
Other ingredients are: Mannitol (E421), crospovidone, aspartame (E951), magnesium stearate, basic butylated methacrylate copolymer, polyacrylate dispersion 30% and colloidal anhydrous silica. The flavouring is strawberry.

MIGRALEVE Pink tablets contain paracetamol and codeine which eases pain and buclizine which helps relieve nausea and vomiting. The Pink tablets, therefore, treat all the symptoms of migraine. If taken at the first sign of a migraine, MIGRALEVE Pink tablets can prevent an attack from developing.
MIGRALEVE Yellow tablets contain paracetamol and codeine for the treatment of pain and relief of continuing migraine symptoms. They should always be taken after the first dose of MIGRALEVE Pink tablets.
Codeine can be used in children over 12 years of age for the short-term relief of moderate pain that is not relieved by other painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen alone. How to take Migraleve Migraine Pink & Yellow Complete Tablets
- For oral use only. Swallow the tablets with a glass of water.
- Do not take less than four hours after taking other painkillers.
- Always start with MIGRALEVE Pink tablets.
- Do not take more than the stated dose shown below.
- This medicine should not be taken for more than 3 days. If the pain does not improve after 3 days, talk to your doctor for advice.
Children under 12 years:
- Do not give to children below the age of 12 years, due to the risk of severe breathing problems.
Children 12 – 15 years:

Imodium Instant Melts are used to treat two types of diarrhoea.
The two types have different age limits.
Short-term diarrhoea:
- For adults and children aged 12 and over.

IBS diarrhoea:
- For adults and young people aged 18 and over who have been diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).

Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 2.32% Gel contains the active substance diclofenac which belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is specially formulated for rubbing into the skin.
Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 2.32% Gel is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation and swelling in a number of painful conditions affecting the joints and muscles. Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 2.32% Gel can be used to treat:
- muscle and joint injuries (e.g. sprains, strains, bruises, backache, sports injuries), relieving pain and helping recovery back to normal function
- tendonitis (e.g. tennis elbow), swelling around the elbow or knee.
Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 2.32% Gel is intended for use in adults and children aged 14 years and older.
How to use Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 2.32% Gel
For adults and adolescents 14 years and over:
- Apply the gel 2 times a day (preferably morning and evening) on the painful area.
How to apply Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 2.32% Gel
- Do not use if tamper evidence seals are broken.
- Use a finger, thumb, side of your hand or even edge of a table against the underside of the cap lid to open the flip-top cap easily.
- Gently squeeze out a small amount of gel from the tube and apply to the painful or swollen area, slowly rubbing into the skin. The amount needed will vary depending upon the size of the painful or swollen area; an amount ranging in size from a 1 penny to a 2 pence piece will usually be sufficient (2-4g). You may notice a slight cooling effect when you rub the gel in. Only use the smallest amount of Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 2.32% Gel needed to relieve your pain but never use more than 8g per day and 56g in one week.
- After use, if needed, remove the remaining amount of the gel from the flip-top cap with a cotton towel or absorbent paper until visually clean and dry. Close the flip-top cap, until you hear a ‘click’ sound. Hold the tube upright when opening or closing the flip-top cap to avoid possible leaking of the gel.
- Unless the hands are the site being treated, wash your hands after rubbing in the gel, to avoid accidental contact with the mouth and eyes.
How long to use Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 2.32% Gel for
Do not use Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 2.32% Gel for more than 14 days unless longer treatment is recommended by a doctor.
If the pain and swelling do not improve within 7 days, or if they get worse, tell your doctor.
In children aged 14 years and over, if this product is required for more than 7 days for pain relief or if the symptoms worsen the patient/parents of the adolescent is/are advised to consult a doctor.

The active substance is diclofenac diethylammonium. Each gram of gel contains 23.2mg of diclofenac diethylammonium.

How to take Buccastem M Bucca tablets

The recommended dose is one or two tablets twice a day for a maximum of 2 days, for adults aged 18 years or over.
Buccastem M Tablets are not recommended for children under 18 years of age.

- Place the tablet high up along your top gum, under the upper lip either side of your mouth as indicated above. The tablet must not be swallowed whole or chewed.

If it does, rinse your eyes with cold water and consult your doctor. Hands should be washed after applying Phorpain Gel Maximum Strength unless they are the site of treatment. If the condition does not improve after two weeks of use or becomes worse at any time, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
Use in children: Phorpain Gel Maximum Strength is not recommended for use in children under 12 years.

How to take Calpol Saline Nasal Drops
Infants & babies up to 2 years:
- Lay your child down and turn their head to one side.
- Put the nozzle into a nostril and press the spray head once.

Baby Teething Symptoms may include the following:

How to use Calpol Calgel Teething Gel

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDs).
Ibuprofen in Calprofen is used as an analgesic to relieve mild to moderate muscular pain and symptomatic relief of headache, earache, dental pain, and backache. It reduces the symptoms of cold and flu. It can also be used in minor injuries such as sprains and strains. Calprofen also brings down a high temperature, including post-immunisation fever.
How to take Calprofen Ibuprofen Suspension
- The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms. If your child has an infection, consult a doctor immediately if symptoms (such as fever and pain) persist or worsen.
- Always shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
- Do not use more medicine than shown in the instructions below.
- Always use the syringe supplied with the pack.
How to use the syringe
- After use, the plug should remain in the neck of the bottle. Wipe the plug and neck clean, and rinse the cap before replacing it.
- Remove the syringe by holding onto the bottle and twisting it out gently.
- Hold the syringe in place, turn the bottle upside down and gently pull the plunger to either 2.5 ml or 5 ml as appropriate (see tables for the correct dose).
- Shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds and remove the cap.
- There is a plug with a hole in the neck of the bottle. Insert the end of the syringe into the hole and ensure it is secure.
- Turn the bottle the right way up.
- Place the syringe inside the child’s mouth against the cheek and press the plunger slowly to release the medicine gently.
- The syringe should be washed and dried after use. It should be cleaned by hand without removing the plunger.
Babies under three months
- Do not give to babies under three months.
- Consult your doctor.
For Pain and Fever Relief:
3 months - 6 months (weighing over 5 kg) - 2.5 ml 3 times daily.
6 months - 1 year - 2.5 ml - 3 times a day
1 year - 2 years - 2.5 ml 3 or 4 times a day
3 years - 7 years - 5 ml 3 or 4 times a day
8 years - 12 years - 10 ml (5 ml + 5 ml) 3 or 4 times a day
