What is Bonjela Adult Cool Mint Gel

Bonjela Cool Mint Gel is used to

• relieve the pain and discomfort of common mouth ulcers and cold sores.
• aid healing sore spots and ulcers due to dentures and braces.

Bonjela Cool Mint Gel is a clear, almost colourless gel, which is applied to the inside of the mouth or gums. It contains choline salicylate (a pain killer and anti-inflammatory) which soothes sore areas in the mouth and an antiseptic called cetalkonium chloride, which kills bacteria and helps prevent infection. Bonjela Cool Mint Gel is intended for adults and children over the age of 16

How to use Bonjela Adult Cool Mint Gel

For adults and children over the age of 16 years only.

• Mouth ulcers and sores: Using a clean finger Massage approximately one centimetre (half an inch) of Bonjela Cool Mint Gel onto the sore area. This can be repeated after 3 hours.
• Denture sores: Massage approximately one centimetre of Bonjela Cool Mint Gel onto the sore area, and leave at least 30 minutes before reinserting the dentures. Do not apply Bonjela Cool Mint Gel directly onto the dentures

The active ingredients (which make the medicine work) are choline salicylate 8.714% w/w, cetalkonium chloride 0.01 % w/w. The other ingredients are ethanol, glycerol, menthol, hypromellose 4500, mint flavour, sodium saccharin and water

What is Bonjela Soothing Teething Gel?

Bonjela Teething Gel can be used to help relieve pain and discomfort associated with teething, in children from 5 months of age, when other non-medicinal methods such as massaging of the gums or use of teething rings do not provide necessary relief.

Bonjela Teething Gel is a clear, almost colourless gel, which is applied to the inside of the mouth or gums. It contains lidocaine hydrochloride (a pain killer) which soothes sore areas in the mouth and an antiseptic called cetalkonium chloride, which kills bacteria and helps prevent infection.

How to use Bonjela Soothing Teething Gel

Apply a pea-sized blob of gel (see circle shown above) to a clean fingertip and spread gently onto the sore area of the gum.

If necessary, repeat the dose after 3 hours. Do not use more than 6 times in one day (24 hour period). Stop treatment when your child’s symptoms settle.

Do not use for more than 7 days for each teething episode. If your child’s symptoms worsen, do not improve after 7 days of treatment or you are concerned that your child is unwell, talk to a health care professional.

What is Bonjela Junior Gel?

Bonjela Junior gel is an oromucosal gel and is used to relieve the pain and discomfort of common mouth ulcers. Bonjela Junior gel is a clear, almost colourless gel, which is applied to the inside of the mouth or gums.

It contains a local anaesthetic called lidocaine hydrochloride, which relieves pain and irritation and an antiseptic called cetylpyridinium chloride, which kills bacteria and helps prevent infection.

How to use Bonjela Junior Gel

• Check that the cap is unbroken before first using the product.
• For use in the mouth only.
• Apply a little gel to the painful or sore area with either a clean fingertip or swab.
• This may be repeated after 20 minutes and then every three hours.
• If symptoms worsen or do not go away, see your doctor or dentist.
• If you miss a dose, just apply a new dose and follow the instructions as before.
