Common Allergy Symptoms
Itchy Eyes - Allergy eyes are one of the most uncomfortable symptoms of hay fever. They’ll often feel irritated, sore or swollen, and can be an annoying distraction throughout the day. Pollen is a fine powder that can easily get into the eyes. Your body’s natural defence is to create histamine, but although this is meant to help, it’s what actually causes that itchy feeling!
Itchy Runny Nose - When you have allergies, your body reacts to things that aren't really harmful, like pollen, dust mites, mould, or pet dander. It releases histamine, a chemical that causes swelling and inflammation. The blood vessels in your eyes swell and your eyes get red, teary, and itchy.
Sneezing - Unlike the type of sneezing associated with a cold, allergy sneezing happens when airborne pollen finds its way into your nasal cavities and your body tries to force it out. It’s one of the most common rhinitis symptoms, so if you know you’re prone to it, we recommend always having some tissues handy
Common Sinus Congestion Symptoms
Sinus Pain - If you have sinus pain, it may feel like there’s pressure against your eyes, cheeks and forehead. This often worsens when you bend over or lie down. It usually goes hand-in-hand with other common sinus congestion symptoms, such as a blocked nose, tiredness, or even an achy feeling in your upper teeth.
Blocked Nose - A blocked nose is one of the most common symptoms of a cold — and also one of the most annoying! Your nose may also be runny, and you might find it hard to talk or breathe normally. It’s often believed a blocked nose is caused by the build-up of mucus, but that blocked feeling is actually down to inflamed blood vessels in the nose cavity.
Headache - If you have a headache and feel generally unwell, chances are you have a head cold. It’s just like a common cold, but the symptoms are mostly felt around your face and sinuses. Remember, there are many other headache causes, so if it persists, you should always go and see a doctor.

Shake before use. Over-exposure to the sun is dangerous. Keep babies and young children out of direct sunlight. Keep children well covered, including a hat, T-shirt and sunglasses. Do not stay too long in the sun, even while using a sunscreen product, because it does not provide 100% protection. Apply the sunscreen product just before exposure. Re-apply frequently and generously to maintain protection, especially after swimming, perspiring or towelling. Avoid the eye area. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse them immediately and thoroughly. Avoid contact with fabrics.

Eczema, Psoriasis & DermatitisOut of stockGet started£2.49What is Hydrocortisone Cream?
Hydrocortisone creams, ointments and lotions contain a type of medicine known as a corticosteroid or 'steroid'. Corticosteroids are not the same as anabolic steroids.
Hydrocortisone creams are used on the skin to treat swelling, itching and irritation. They can help with skin problems such as:
- Psoriasis
- Eczema
- Contact dermatitis
- Prickly heat rash
- Nappy rash
- Insect bites and stings
Who is this cream suitable for
Most adults and children can use hydrocortisone skin creams.
However, don't use hydrocortisone skin products on children under ten years old unless their doctor recommends it.
Hydrocortisone skin cream isn't suitable for some people.
Tell your pharmacist or doctor before starting the medicine if you:
- have had an allergic reaction to hydrocortisone or any other medicine in the past
- have a skin infection (including eye infections)
- are trying to get pregnant, are already pregnant, or you're breastfeeding
Cream, ointment or lotion?
There are different types of hydrocortisone skin products. Creams are the most common, but there are also hydrocortisone ointments and lotions.
As a general rule:
- Hydrocortisone cream is better for skin which is moist and weepy with clear or yellow fluid.
- Hydrocortisone ointment is thicker and greasier - it's better for dry or flaky areas of skin.
- Hydrocortisone lotion is a liquid - it's useful for treating the scalp and large or hairy areas of skin.
How to apply Hydrocortisone Cream
- Spread the cream in a thin layer over the area of irritated skin.
- Carefully smooth it into your skin in the direction the hair grows until it disappears.
- Be careful not to get the cream into broken skin or cuts.
- Wash your hands afterwards (unless it's your hands that you're treating).
- Use the cream on all the irritated skin, not just the worst areas.

Allergies & HayfeverIn stockGet started£15.34What are Catacrom Eye Drops
Catacrom Eye Drops are for the relief and treatment of allergic red, watery, itchy and puffy eyes caused by hayfever, house mites, and other causes of allergy such as pet hairs. Eye allergy can happen when sensitive eyes are exposed to these causes of allergy.
Catacrom Eye Drops is a medicine that affects cells called mast cells. It prevents them from releasing chemical substances that cause redness, watering, itching, and puffiness of allergic reactions.
These eye drops can be used by wearers of rigid or gas permeable contact lenses and can be used by people who are sensitive to preservatives in other kinds of eye drops.
How to use Catacrom Eye Drops
Catacrom Eye Drops are for use in the eye only.
Usual Dose
Catacrom Eye Drops are suitable for use in adults, the elderly and children.
The drops are in single-dose units. Put one or two drops into each eye four times a day, or as directed by your doctor. Avoid touching the eye with the dropper.
Read the instructions on the carton carefully. Wash your hands before and after you use these eye drops.
Steps for Using Catacrom Eye Drops
- Break off one unit dose container from the strip.
- Open the unit dose container by bending/twisting the tab (Figure 1).
- Tilt your head backwards.
- Gently pull down the lower lid to form a pouch (Figure 2).
- With the unit dose in the other hand, put one drop inside the pouch by gently squeezing the container. Try not to touch anything with the tip (Figure 3).
- Close the eye for about 30 seconds and at the same time gently press a finger against the corner of the closed eye, nearest the nose. (Figure 4).
- Some drops may roll down your face. This is normal. The eye holds less than one drop. Wipe away the excess with a clean tissue. If the drop of medication is not retained for any reason, another drop should be dropped into the eye pouch.
- If you use more than one type of eye drop, wait five minutes before putting in the next one. This prevents the first drop from being washed away.
- Repeat instructions 3-8 for the other eye.
